Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information ClinAds collects when you visit this site (docspot.getclinads.com) or book a call with us, how we use it, who we share it with, the legal bases we rely on, and the rights you have over your data, including your rights under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Plain-English summary: When you visit, a B2B visitor-analytics tool (Snitcher) recognizes the organization you are browsing from and records basic, session-only usage. By default it stores nothing on your device that outlives your visit: no persistent cookies and no cross-session tracking. We also receive the contact details you give us when you book a call. We use this to run and improve the site and to follow up with you. We do not sell your data. If you are in the EU or UK, you can object to our analytics, ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to delete it, and you can complain to your data protection authority.

1. Who we are (data controller)

This website (docspot.getclinads.com) is operated by 18-17-12, Inc., a California corporation doing business as ClinAds and Clinsight (“ClinAds,” “we,” “us”). For the personal data described in this policy, 18-17-12, Inc. is the data controller. You can reach us at shivam@clinsight.ai for any privacy question, including GDPR requests.

We do not currently maintain an establishment in the EU or the UK. EU and UK residents can contact us directly at the email above for any matter relating to their personal data, and can also exercise their right to complain to a supervisory authority as described in section 7.

2. What we collect

2.1 Information you give us directly

When you book an intro call through Cal.com, send us an email, or fill out a form, we receive whatever information you choose to share, typically your name, email address, phone number, time zone, and any message you write. Booking is handled on Cal.com’s own scheduling page, which we link to; Cal.com processes the details you enter there as described in section 3.

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit, our analytics provider (Snitcher) records basic usage in a session-only mode by default. Nothing that identifies you is stored on your device beyond the current browser session: no persistent cookies are set and no cross-session identifier is kept. We collect:

  • Page-view and behavioral data: pages visited, clicks, scroll depth, referring URL, and time on page.
  • Device and technical data: browser type, operating system, screen size, and an approximate location derived from your IP address.
  • Organization data (reverse-IP lookup): Snitcher matches the IP address of business visitors to the company or organization it belongs to, so we can understand which businesses are interested in our product. This is company-level information and is used for B2B analytics and outreach, not to build an advertising profile of you as an individual.

Because this runs session-only by default, closing your browser tab clears the associated data on your device. We do not enable persistent cookies or cross-session tracking unless you give consent (see section 5).

3. Third-party services we use

We rely on a small set of third-party processors to operate the site. Each has its own privacy policy that applies to the data it handles on our behalf.

  • Cloudflare: website hosting, content delivery, and security. May set strictly-necessary cookies to protect the site.
  • Snitcher B.V.: B2B visitor and company identification (reverse-IP lookup) and site analytics. Snitcher is based in the Netherlands (EU). Session-only by default, as described above.
  • Cal.com: appointment scheduling. We link out to Cal.com; when you book, Cal.com processes the booking details you enter.
  • Google: Search Console (aggregate search data, no end-user personal data) and Google Workspace for email correspondence.
  • YouTube (Google): our demo video is embedded using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced (“no-cookie”) player. YouTube may set cookies and receive your IP address only if you press play on the video; it loads no tracking until then.

We self-host our web fonts, so no font provider receives your data when you view the site.

4. How we use your information, and our legal bases

Under the EU and UK GDPR we must have a lawful basis for each way we use your personal data. Those uses and bases are:

  • To operate, secure, maintain, and improve the site. Legal basis: our legitimate interests in running a functioning, secure website (and legal obligation where security or record-keeping is required).
  • To understand which businesses are interested in ClinAds and to carry out B2B outreach (this includes the Snitcher company-identification described above). Legal basis: our legitimate interests in developing our business. You can object to this at any time (see section 7), and we will stop.
  • To respond to your inquiries and schedule intro calls. Legal basis: performance of a contract with you or taking steps at your request before entering into one.
  • To send follow-up communications about ClinAds after a call you booked with us. Legal basis: our legitimate interests in following up on a request you made, or your consent where required by local law. You can opt out of these at any time.
  • To comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud or misuse. Legal basis: legal obligation and our legitimate interests in protecting the site.
  • Where we ask for and you give consent (for example, to enable persistent analytics cookies). Legal basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers for cross-site behavioral advertising.

5. Cookies and local storage

By default we run session-only analytics: Snitcher keeps data in your browser’s session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab. No persistent analytics cookies are set and no long-lived identifier is stored on your device. Cloudflare may set strictly-necessary cookies to keep the site secure and available; these do not track you across sites. If you play our embedded demo video, YouTube may set its own cookies at that point.

We only enable persistent analytics cookies and cross-session identification if you give consent. Where we ask for consent, you can withdraw it at any time by emailing us, and you can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work as expected.

6. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy or as required by law. Session-only analytics data is not persisted on your device beyond your visit; company-level and aggregate analytics we retain are kept for up to 12 months and may be deleted earlier on request. Contact information from intro-call bookings is retained for up to 24 months after our last interaction, then deleted or anonymized.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal information. If you are in the EU or the UK, under the GDPR these include:

  • Access: request a copy of the information we hold about you.
  • Rectification: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure: ask us to delete your information, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Restriction: ask us to limit how we process your data.
  • Objection: object to processing based on our legitimate interests, including our Snitcher analytics and outreach, and object to direct marketing at any time.
  • Portability: receive the data you provided in a portable, machine-readable format.
  • Withdraw consent: for anything we do on the basis of consent, without affecting processing already carried out.
  • Not to be subject to solely-automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects (see section 9).

To exercise any of these rights, email shivam@clinsight.ai with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We will respond within 30 days and will not charge you or discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Right to complain. If you are in the EU or UK and believe we have mishandled your data, you can lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. In the UK this is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk); in the EU it is the data protection authority in your country of residence. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know, delete, and not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA.

8. International data transfers

ClinAds is based in California, USA, and some of our providers process data in the United States and other countries. When we transfer personal data of EU or UK residents outside the EEA or UK, we rely on an appropriate safeguard recognized under the GDPR: the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum), an adequacy decision, or the EU-US and UK Data Privacy Framework where a provider is certified. Our visitor-analytics provider, Snitcher, is itself based in the EU. You can contact us for more detail on the safeguard used for a specific transfer.

9. Automated decision-making and profiling

Our Snitcher analytics profile visitors at the organization level (matching an IP address to the company it belongs to) to help us understand interest in our product. We do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you using solely automated processing, and we do not use this information to make automated decisions about individuals.

10. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children

Our services are directed to businesses, not to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 (or the minimum age set by your country’s law, and never under 13). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please email shivam@clinsight.ai and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update. Significant changes will be communicated through a notice on the site.

13. Contact
